RIPON, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's track & field team competed at the Red Hawk Invite hosted by Ripon College. Kylee Doherty set the school standard in the weight throw for the second-straight weekend. Four Eagles added school records on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Doherty continued to impress in the weight throw, setting the high-water mark in the event for the Eagles at 12.49 meters. Doherty placed 16th in the event at Ripon. Keilley Riddle added a personal-best finish in the event, a 10.55 meter throw. Kayla Miotk recorded a mark of 9.09 meters.
- Doherty finished fourth in the shot put on Saturday. The junior's mark of 12.03 meters is the second-longest distance in indoor school history. Miotk posted a best distance of 11.90 meters on Saturday to finish sixth. Miotk's distance goes down as the fourth-longest in indoor school history. Riddle recorded a mark of 8.14 meters in the event.
- Lauren Mesa competed in a 60-meter dash final for the first time as an Eagle. She finished eighth in the event with a time of 8.57. Mesa reached the final by recording a personal-best time of 8.54 in the prelims. Her time is good for ninth best on the Eagles honor roll list.
- Stephanie Resendiz (8.85), Kayla Kerkman (9.08), and Emma Miller (9.22) competed in the 60-meter dash prelims.
- Mesa highlighted the Eagles in the 200-meter. The freshman recorded a personal-best time of 29.84 to finish 23rd. Resendiz (30.28), Kerkman (30.88), Miller (31.62), and Isabella Pescador (33.92) also competed in the event.
- Ella Arenz represented the Eagles in the 800-meter on Saturday. The freshman finished eighth with a time of 2:38.18.
- Emily Austin competed in the Mile run, finishing with a time of 6:37.25.
- Maya Thompson placed fifth in the 5,000-meter run on Saturday. Thompson crossed the finish line in 20:40.11.
- Pescador crossed the finish line in the 60-meter hurdles prelims in 11.83.
- Kayla Kerkman competed in the long jump, posting 4.49 meters, which is good for fourth on the Eagles honor roll list.
- Resendiz, Pescador, Miller, and Mesa competed in the 4x400-meter relay on Saturday. The Eagles finish ninth with a time of 4:53.22.

- Edgewood College will return to Ripon on Saturday to compete in the Dick Hendricks' Invite. Action is set for 11:00 a.m. from Ripon, Wis.
