DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Edgewood College women's track & field team competed at the Spartan Shootout hosted by the University of Dubuque on Saturday. Kylee Doherty set the standard on Saturday, posting two indoor school records.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Doherty finished third in the Shot Put with a school record and personal record distance of 12.26 meters. Kayla Miotk finished 13th in the event with a throw of 9.86 meters. Keilley Riddle (8.83 meters) and Allison Foley (7.54 meters) also competed in the event for the Eagles.
- Doherty added her second school record of the day in the weight throw. The junior's distance of 11.66 meters was good for ninth place in the event. Miotk finished the event in 17th place, setting a personal best mark of 9.99 meters. Riddle rounded out the Eagles in the event with a distance of 8.45 meters.
- Jordan Lawson paced the Eagles in the 60 meter dash prelims. Lawson ran a personal-best time of 8.38, which ties her for third on the Eagles honor roll list. Lauren Mesa (8.68) and Stephanie Resendiz (8.77) both ran personal best times in the event. Kayla Kerkman (9.04) and Emma Miller (9.35) also competed.
- Lawson again led the Eagles in the 200 meter. Her time of 28.36 was good for 12th in the event. Resendiz posted her second PR time of the day with a mark of 29.64. Mesa (29.95) and Miller (32.83) competed in the event for the first time.
- Isabella Pescador crossed the finish line in 11.86 to place ninth in the 60 meter hurdles prelims.
- Kerkman (1:12.75) and Pescador (1:18.60) represented the Eagles in the 400 meter.
- Ella Arenz placed sixth in the 800 meter with a time of 2:36.29.
- Maya Thompson crossed the finish line in 11:42.42 in the 3,000 meter run. Her time was good for seventh place in the event.

- Edgewood College will compete at the Red Hawk Invite hosted by Ripon College on Saturday, February 8. Action from Ripon, Wis. is set to begin at 11:00 a.m.
