HOW THEY GOT HERE
- Edgewood University posted their best conference and regular season result since the 2013 season. The Eagles closed out conference play with eight-straight wins. Victory over Wisconsin Lutheran, Benedictine Concordia Chicago, Rockford University, Marian University, Dominican University, St. Norbert College, Concordia Wisconsin, Aurora University and Lakeland University gave the Eagles the third seed in the NACC Tournament.
- The Eagles wrapped up the regular season with a 3-0 win over Wisconsin Lutheran College. Greta Blau and Madi Johnson were the goal scorers on Wednesday evening.
- Greta Blau leads the Eagles attack with 18 points on the season. The senior has recorded nine goals for the Eagles. Kamy Luecke has netted five goals and four assists in her senior campaign. Rylee Brotz and Lacey Fabry have each scored three goals on the season.
- Madeline Brown and Emma Swenson have split time in net for the Eagles. The two have combined for 12 shutouts on the season. Brown owns 43 saves, while Swenson has collected 29 saves across 13 contests.
- Marian University finished 5-5-2 in the conference regular season, earning them the six seed in the tournament. The Sabres clinched their postseason bid on Saturday, October 25 with a 2-0 win over Concordia Chicago.
- Brianna Guelig has led the Marian attack with 10 goals and two assists. Emily Gordillo leads the Sabres with eight assists and owns six goals of her own. Chelsea King has served as the Sabres primary goalkeeper in 2025, claiming 56 saves and three shutout wins.
LAST MEETING
- Edgewood University and Marian University met back on October 15 in Fond du Lac. The Eagles earned a 2-1 win on the road. Greta Blau and Stephanie Kalscheuer both scored for the Eagles.
- Madeline Brown posted two saves in net for the Eagles. Her counterpart Chelsea King added two saves of her own for the Sabres.
- Marian found the back of the net in the final minute of action, as Brianna Guelig scored her seventh goal of the season.
TOURNAMENT HISTORY
- The Eagles have now reached the NACC Tournament four times under Head Coach Derek Helmer. In 2023, 2022, and 2020 the Eagles appeared in the NACC Tournament, but fell on each occasion.
- Illinois Tech are 12-5-0 in the NACC Tournament all-time. The Scarlet Hawks won the title for the first time in 2024.
