RIVER FOREST, ILL. – Women's Volleyball continued NACC action Saturday as they hit the road. They faced off with the Dominican Stars. The Eagles (14-6, 6-0 NACC) extended their winning streak to five with a 3-1 (25-13, 25-9 16-25, 25-13) win against the Stars (2-13, 1-4).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood University commanded the first set, outhitting Dominican .353-to-.000. The Eagles recorded 15 kills as they soared to a 1-0 lead.
- After the Stars led 3-2, Edgewood University all but put the second frame to bed on a 15-3 barrage. The Eagles defense held Dominican to a -.091 hitting percentage while the offense hit .500.
- Dominican got the better of Edgewood University in the third set. After the squads sat tied 6-6, the Stars climbed ahead off of an 8-3 rally. The Stars kept the Eagles at bay to stay alive for a fourth set.
- An 8-1 rally had Edgewood University flying ahead 14-6 in the fourth set. The Eagles poured it on late, six unanswered all but putting the match to bed featuring four kills and an ace.

Katie Borchert shined in the victory. She swung for 17 kills on 24 attempts with only one error for a .667 hitting percentage. She also paced the team with nine digs and added on three aces.

Payton Millin tallied four aces to lead the squad.

Kate Gunderson added in 16.
