KANSASVILLE, Wis. – The Edgewood College men's golf team competed at the Midwest Region Fall Classic Friday and Saturday at the Brighton Dale Links. The Eagles played their best golf of the 2024 season on Friday, carding a round-one score of 305. Edgewood College finished in a tie for 30th place of 44 teams with a two-round score of 621.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Raymond Jordan and Peter Haideman both carded a two-round score of 149 to finish in a tie for 58th place. Jordan posted a career-best and even 72 in round one that featured four birdies. The junior opened round one with a 32 on the back nine before closing out the round with a 40 on the front nine holes. Jordan closed out the meet on Saturday with a 77. Haideman carded a career-best 73 on Saturday to vault up the leaderboard 19 places. He carded a 76 in round one. Haideman's round-two score featured four birdies.
- Jacob Frederickson carded a 158 over the 36-hole tournament. He opened the meet with a 75 that featured four birdies. Frederickson added an 83 in round-two.
- Sam Hjortland rounded out the Eagles scoring lineup with a 165. The freshman was consistent across both rounds, carding an 82 and 83 in the meet.
- Colin Quam competed on day two for the Eagles, carding an 84.
THE MEET
- Carthage College finished with the team crown, carding a two-round total of 566 (-10). The Firebirds finished nine shots ahead of Wheaton and Millikin.
- Tanner Angelstad of Carthage College earned medalist honors with a seven-under par 137. Angelstad opened the tournament with a 69, before closing out with a four-under par 68 for the victory.

- Edgewood College will compete in the UW-Stout Triangular on Wednesday. Action is set to start at 11:00 a.m. from Pleasant View G.C. in Middleton, Wisconsin.
