GEVEVA, Ill. – The Edgewood College cross country programs are geared up for Saturday's 2024 NACC Championships, hosted by Aurora University. The Eagles are looking to build upon many personal-best finishes from the year.
EdgewoodCollegeEagles.com gets you ready for Saturday's races which will be held at Northwestern Medicine XC Course in Geneva, Illinois. The women's race will kick things off at 11:00 a.m. followed by the men's race at 12:30 p.m.

WOMEN'S RACE
The Eagles saw success at both the John Kurt Invite and Warrior Invitational. Ella Arenz and Maya Thompson have both recorded top 10 finishes in 2024. Arenz led the Eagles at Wartburg with a 5K time of 20:37.8 to finish 22nd. Thompson added a PR time of 20:43.7 to finish in 27th. Emily Austin and Hadley Hackinson also competed in the event posting time of 23:40.3 and 24:19.9, respectively.
Thompson and Arenz both impressed at the Warrior Invitational. Thompson finished fifth with a 6K time of 24:40.9. Arenz was right behind her with a time of 24:55.9 to finish sixth.
In 2023, Aurora, Concordia Wisconsin and St. Norbert were named tri-champions following an on-course incident during the championship race. Deyanneria Colo Maldonado of Aurora was the individual champion with a time of 23:10.4.
MEN'S RACE
The Wisconsin Private College Championships were a highlight for the men's team so far in 2024. Nick Pacubas led the Eagles on October 19 with a 42nd place finish in the 8K distance race. Pacubas clocked in a personal-best time of 30:16.9 in Mequon. Brett Cox added a 46th place finish for the Eagles, clocking in a season-best time of 30:46.6. Kadin Wojcik added another season-best, finishing in 32:51.0.
MSOE has recorded three-straight NACC Championships in 2021, 2022 and 2023. In 2023, the Raiders captured the championship with 29 points, finishing 24 points ahead of runner-up Wisconsin Lutheran College. Timmy Brey of Concordia University Wisconsin won the individual championship with an 8K time of 25:39.3.
