MEQUON, Wis. – The Edgewood College cross country team competed at the Private College Championships, hosted by Concordia Wisconsin on Saturday. The Eagles posted personal-best marks in both the men's and women's races. Maya Thompson led the Eagle women in the 6K, while Nick Pacubas posted the best finish for Edgewood College in the men's 8K.
WOMEN'S RACE: 6K
- Maya Thompson posted a personal-best time of 24:21.7 to finish 12th at the Private College Championships.
- Ella Arenz wasn't far behind, posting a time of 25:07.9. The freshman finished 23rd on the afternoon.
MEN'S RACE: 8K
- Nick Pacubas paced the Edgewood College men's cross country team on Saturday morning. The freshman ran a personal-best time of 30:16.9 to finish in 42nd place.
- Brett Cox was the next Eagle across the finish line. Cox finished in 46th place with a time of 30:46.6.
- Kadin Wojcik rounded out the Eagles pack with a time of 32:51.0. His time was good for 55th place.
UP NEXT
- Edgewood College will compete at the NACC Championships on Saturday, November 2. The women's 6K race is set for 11:00 a.m., followed by the men's 8K at Noon. The Champinoship will take place at Northwestern Medicine XC Course in Geneva, Ill.
