MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Edgewood College Eagles women's volleyball squad played their second Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) match in as many days Saturday afternoon. They traveled to face the MSOE Raiders in a road battle. The Eagles (8-7, 3-1 NACC) established control of the match early and never led go as they won 3-0 (25-10, 25-18, 25-22) over the Raiders (2-11, 0-4).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College led by as much as 20-4 in the first set on their way to a 25-10 statement to open the match. MSOE hit -0.114 in the set while the Eagles hit .364.
- The Raiders kept pace better in the early goings of the second set as Edgewood College lead by 8-7. The Eagles turned on the jets with a 9-3 run to all but put MSOE away, and a 6-1 run clinched the set and a 2-0 match lead.
- The Raiders hung tough in set three, leading 13-12 halfway through the set. Edgewood College found their second gear once more as a 7-2 sprint put the set firmly in their control. A 4-1 burst by MSOE put them in their best position of the afternoon to take a set, but the Eagles took the last two points they needed to secure the sweep.
- Edgewood College won the hitting battle .211 to -.027. The Eagles also had 40 kills to the Raiders 21, and 40 assists to the Raiders 18.

Abigail Hoffmann earned a 11 kill, 11 assist double-double.
Taylor Salmon led all Eagles with 22 assists, while
Lea Bunch anchored the defensive effort with 17 digs.

Hannah Siebert set her career high with nine kills in the match, while
Grace Antlfinger tied her single-match career high with 10 digs.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The 10 points scored by MSOE in set one was the lowest of any Edgewood College opponent in a single set all season.
- The Eagles now lead the series 39-14 over the Raiders since 1991 and have won two in a row.
- Edgewood College has now won three in a row over NACC opponents.
UP NEXT
The Eagles continue NACC play with three crucial matches next week. They start with a trip to Plymouth, Wis. to face Lakeland on Tuesday with first serve scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Edgewood College is 21-32 in the series since 1991 against the Muskies, but won the 2021 version of the matchup.
