Eagles Wrap Up Busy Weekend with Split at UW-Oshkosh Tournament

OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Edgewood College Women's Volleyball team played four matches in a span of less than 24 hours, the final two of those coming at the UW-Oshkosh Polito's Classic on Saturday morning. The Eagles opened the day with a 3-0 win over Lake Forest College, before falling in a five-set match against UW-Oshkosh, 3-2.

EAGLES 3, LAKE FOREST COLLEGE 0 (25-15, 26-24, 25-21)
- The Eagles (7-3) posted their first sweep of the season over the Foresters (4-4). Edgewood College hit .321 in the match, posting a .290 or betting attack percentage in each of the three sets.

- Abbey Falk (.438) and Amanda Carlson (.333) each connected with nine kills in the match, each player having solid hitting performances. Abbey Maier hit .600 for the match and tallied seven kills.

- Taylor Salmon and Abigail Hoffmann did their parts in setting up the Eagles hitters with a combined 36 assists. Salmon totaled 22 and Hoffmann added 14.

- Lea Bunch and Lauren Glissendorf each recorded nine digs in the sweep.

EAGLES 3, UW-OSHKOSH 2 (25-27, 20-25, 25-18, 25-19, 15-10)
- The Eagles took the first two sets against the Titans (6-2) before UW-Oshkosh rallied back for the five-set victory.

- Hoffmann finished the match with a triple-double, registering 14 assists, 10 kills, and 11 digs. Salmon posted a double-double with 31 assists and 17 digs, while Mackenzie Doherty had a double-double of her own (11 kills, 11 digs).  

- Lea Bunch recorded a season-best 34 digs to lead the Eagles defensively. Lauren Glissendorf added 12 digs as five Eagles finished with double-digit digs.

- Amanda Carlson joined Doherty with 11 kills in the match. Maier added nine and Falk chipped in with eight. The Eagles also had their fair share of blocks, Falk with five block assists and one solo block. Hoffmann added four block assists in the match.

UP NEXT
- The Eagles are set for their conference opener on Wednesday night at home. Edgewood College will host Concordia University Wisconsin at 7 p.m. inside the Todd Wehr Edgedome.
