MILWAUKEE – The Edgewood College Women's Volleyball team made quick work of Alverno College on Tuesday night, sweeping the Inferno in three sets in a NACC road match. The Eagles received contributions from all over on Tuesday in their second sweep of the season.
EAGLES 3, INFERNO 0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-13)
- Edgewood College (13-5, 4-1 NACC) was in control from the get go in the 3-0 sweep. The only time the Eagles trailed in any set at any point throughout the evening was in the third set when they were down 1-0 and 2-1. Otherwise it was all Edgewood College inside Reiman Gymnasium.
- The Eagles received contributions from nearly the entire roster, including the first career kills for both
Paige Rusniak and
Haley Wilkinson. They both finished with three kills in the match, while
Delaney Horkan also had a season-best effort with five kills.
- As a team, Edgewood College hit .229 for the night.
Mackenzie Doherty hit .750 with three kills, while
Amanda Carlson led the Eagles with six kills, while hitting .545.
Abigail Hoffmann added four kills and a .500 hitting percentage, while
Corrin Harrington (3, .400) had a solid attacking night as well.

Taylor Salmon and Hoffmann were again in charge of setting up the Eagles hitters as the duo combined for 24 assists. Salmond had 13 helpers, while Hoffmann finished the night with 11.
- The Eagles service game was also on point with 13 aces compared to just four errors.
Hannah Siebert, who was another player to finish with three kills, led the way with three aces.
Raegan Doherty, Hoffmann, and Carlson all added two aces.
- Salmon and
Grace Antlfinger each tallied six digs for Edgewood College, while Siebert and
Lauren Glissendorf added five.
THE OPPOSITION
- Alverno (1-6, 0-3 NACC) received seven kills and nine digs from Rolin West. Alex McMath finished the match with 14 assists.
