- Doherty came out strong with five kills in a 25-15 first set win where the senior hit .400. She would finish the night with nine kills, tying for the team lead with Abbey Falk.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Despite the win, the Eagles didn't receive the help they needed to qualify for the six-team NACC Tournament. Edgewood College ended in a four-way tie for fifth place with Illinois Tech, MSOE, and Wisconsin Lutheran. The tiebreaker was record amongst those teams in matches against one another. MSOE and Illinois Tech advanced to the league tournament by going 2-1 in those matches, while the Eagles and Wisconsin Lutheran were 1-2.

- Doherty's nine kills bring her total to 1,259 for her career. She is currently fifth all time and still has a chance to move up one or two spots with two matches remaining in her impressive career.
