LISLE, Ill. – The Edgewood College Women's Volleyball team suffered its first Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference setback of the season on Saturday. In a battle of Eagles, Benedictine University swept Edgewood College, 3-0, at the Rice Center.
BENEDICTINE 3, EDGEWOOD COLLEGE 0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-21)
- Edgewood College (12-5, 3-1 NACC) hit just .024 for the match, struggling to get much going against Benedictine. Benedictine (7-9, 2-1 NACC) opened the day with a 25-18 set win, and while Edgewood College played better over the final two sets, they couldn't take one from Benedictine.

Taylor Salmon delivered 12 assists in the three-set match with
Mackenzie Doherty leading the Edgewood College attackers with eight kills.
Abigail Hoffmann added six kills and nine assists. Salmon and Hoffmann each posted seven digs, a team high for Edgewood College on Saturday.
- The best chance to take a set for Edgewood College came in the third when they led 21-20. Benedictine would close out the match in three however with five-straight points to close things out.
- Benedictine was led by Brooke Huizenga who hit .294 and posted eight kills. Jamie Janczak (15) and Alyssa Mojica (12) combined for 27 assists.
