MADISON, Wis. - The Edgewood College Women's Volleyball team posted a big NACC win on Wednesday night, taking care of St. Norbert 3-1. Strong hitting and team defense earned the Eagles the NACC win, handing St. Norbert just their third conference loss of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first set went in favor of the Eagles, but they certainly had their work cut out for them in the remaining sets. Edgewood College (15-8, 6-4 NACC) won the first set by a confident 11-point margin (25-14). The Eagles hit .481 in the set and held St. Norbert (16-12, 7-3 NACC) to just nine kills and a .094 hitting percentage.

- Despite going on a 7-0 run and coming back from a 20-13 deficit, the Eagles couldn't come back from attack errors, as the Green Knights took set number two, 25-23.

- The Eagles offense was on point in the final two sets, finishing with a .333 and .394 hitting percentage in the third and fourth set. In addition, the Edgewood College defense held the Green Knights to just .176 hitting in the fourth and final set. Ultimately, the Eagles would take set three 26-24, and the final set 25-19.

- Edgewood College were led by the hitting team of Amanda Carlson and Mackenzie Doherty. Carlson led the way with 13 kills, while Doherty managed 12 kills and a .440 hitting percentage for the evening. Taylor Salmon dished out 24 assists, while Abigail Hoffmann notched 22 assists of her own.  

- Abbey Falk collected five block assists and one block solo and led the way defensively for the Eagles, who totaled 12 blocks as a team on Wednesday. Edgewood College also had 50 digs, 16 from Leah Bunch.

- Edgewood College will host Rockford University on Friday. It will be MAISL Night in the Todd Wehr Edgedome and action is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
