AURORA, Ill. – Following a thrilling five-set win last night at Dominican, the Edgewood College Women's Volleyball team had a quick turnaround in facing one of the top teams in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference on Saturday. The Eagles took on Aurora University, falling in three sets.

SPARTANS 3, EAGLES 0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-21)
- Aurora (14-7, 8-1 NACC) came out and showed why it is a team receiving votes in the latest AVCA Division III Women's Volleyball Poll by hitting .609 in the opening set. For the match, the Spartans hit .284, while the Eagles (14-8, 5-4 NACC) countered with a .074 attack.

- Abbey Maier continued her strong play with a nine-kill, .235 hitting percentage effort. Mackenzie Doherty added eight kills for the Eagles.

- The Eagles improved as the match went along and nearly took both the second and third sets. In the second set things were squared away at 22-22 before the Spartans closed with a 3-0 run. The Eagles were within one, 22-21, in the final set, but again Aurora used a 3-0 run to finish off the match.
