ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Edgewood College Volleyball team rolled to a pair of wins at the Rockford University Triangular Saturday. The Eagles swept both contests, beginning with a NACC win over Rockford and ending the day with a non-conference win against Grace Christian University. Edgewood College didn't allow either opponent to score more than 17 points in any set on Saturday.
EDGEWOOD COLLEGE 3, ROCKFORD UNIVERSITY 0
- The Eagles dominated the Regents, winning the three sets by scores of 25-11, 25-15, 25-14. Edgewood College totaled 13 aces in the three sets and added 28 kills in the easy NACC win.

Brittany Sager recorded seven of the Eagles 13 aces, while
Taylor Salmon chipped in with four aces of her own. Salmon and Sager also helped set up the Eagles hitters in the 3-0 win, with Salmon producing 13 assists and Sager adding 10.

Abbey Maier produced eight kills for the Eagles with
Seghan Northey adding four kills, while hitting a robust .667.

Sarah Uczen added 10 digs for Edgewood College in the sweep over the Regents.

- The Eagles had little trouble completing their second sweep of the day, defeating Grace Christian 25-12, 25-17, 25-16. Edgewood College put on an impressive showing in the second win, hitting .309, while adding 15 more service aces.

Mackenzie Doherty and Maier paced the offensive attack with 12 and 10 kills, respectively. Each player hit over .400 for the match, Doherty at .458 and Maier at .421.
- Sager and Salmon again did a good job of setting up the Eagles hitters, each player recording double-digit assists once again. Sager led the way with 19 with Salmon adding 13.
- Northey had five of the Eagles 15 aces in the win. Uczen once again paced the team with eight digs.
UP NEXT
- The Eagles will begin a busy week at home by welcoming UW-Whitewater to the Todd Wehr Edgedome on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. The match will be the first of four home contests for the Eagles next week.
