MEQUON, Wis. – A strong second set effort was not enough for the Eagles to overtake Concordia University Wisconsin on Tuesday night. The Edgewood College Women's Volleyball team struggled to maintain their offensive spark in a 3-1 (25-10, 16-25, 25-18, 25-14) defeat on the road.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Down one set, Edgewood College (2-11, 1-1 NACC) battled to a 25-16 second set victory that featured 13 kills and a .458 hitting percentage. The Eagles made their move in the second set at 8-7, going on a five point run.
- The Eagles continued to look strong for the majority of the third set, which was a back and forth affair. Ultimately, the Falcons fell back into stride, going on a seven point run that would hold through the end of the set.
- Three Eagles finished the match in double-digits as Brittany Sager tallied 21 assists, Sarah Uczen registered 13 digs, and Mackenzie Doherty recorded 11 kills.
- Megan Mayer led Concordia Wisconsin with 10 kills, while Cristina Stinson dished out 18 assists. Ariana Richmond added 14 digs while Kendall Stribling finished with four blocks for the Falcons.
