COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Edgewood College Women's Volleyball team opened its 2019 season Friday at the Colorado College Invite. The Eagles fell by 3-0 scores in each of their matches, the opener against Clarkson University before a setback versus UW-Oshkosh.
CLARKSON 3, EDEGEWOOD COLLEGE 0
- Clarkson won the opening match with set wins of 25-14, 25-18, 25-15. In the opening set, the score was tied 6-6 before Clarkson won nine of the next 10 points to take a 15-7 advantage. Clarkson added a seven-point run later in the set to easily handle game one.

Mackenzie Doherty paced the Eagles with nine kills in the opener, recording a .294 attack percentage.
Ella Carpenter and Britany Sager each dished out double-digit assists, Carpenter with 11 and Sager with 10.
Sarah Uczen added nine digs and five assists for the Eagles.
- Clarkson was led by Rachel Reusch who totaled nine kills and a .467 attack percentage. The Golden Knights received 17 assists from Isabelle Crow.
UW-OSHKOSH 3, EDGEWOOD COLLEGE 0
- Doherty again led the Eagles in kills in the second contest, posting her second-straight nine-kill match. The Titans posted set wins of 25-20, 25-17, and 25-21 to take down Edgewood College.

Seghan Northey added seven kills for the Eagles against UW-Oshkosh, hitting .333 over the match. Sager did a good job of setting up her hitters with 16 helpers for the Eagles. Uczen and
Amanda Meister added 11 and 10 digs, respectively.
- The Titans were balanced in gaining the win but the story was more about the Eagles errors. Edgewood College had 26 attack errors, seven service errors, three setting errors, and three ball handling errors against the Titans.
