MADISON, Wis. – Ben Seefeld scored 22 points and
Ryan Buss added 21 as the Edgewood College Men's Basketball team picked up an 81-67 victory over Rockford University Saturday inside the Todd Wehr Edgedome. The Eagles started off strong and never trailed in the 14-point NACC win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buss and Seefeld got things rolling early, combining for the first 11 Eagles points of the game, helping Edgewood College open up with a 23-4 run.
Jake Graf capped off the run with a 3-point make with 11:09 left in the first half.
- The Eagles (2-5, 2-2 NACC) would end up taking a 13-point lead into the break (45-32). Seefeld had 16 points and five rebounds in the first half.
- Rockford would make things interesting in the second half, opening with a 12-2 run to cut the Eagles lead to three (47-44).
Matthew Myers had the big shot to stop the bleeding, burying a 3-pointer with 15:40 left in the game.
- Buss would take over later, scoring 10-of-12 Eagles points over a stretch from 9:45 remaining to 5:15. Buss, who entered the season with zero career 20-point games, now has two over his past three contests.

Avery Lyons did a great job running the Eagles offense on Saturday, dishing out eight assists in the game. Edgewood College finished the game with 20 helpers,
Jake Negus adding four.
- Seefeld and Buss also led the Eagles on the boards with nine and seven rebounds, respectively, as the Eagles held a 42-33 edge on the boards.
- Edgewood College shot the ball extremely well on Saturday, finishing the game 49.2 percent (30-for-61) from the floor, 43.8 percent (7-for-16) from 3-point range, and 73.7 percent (14-for-19) from the free throw line.
Jake Graf (3-for-3) and Myers (2-for-2) did not miss a 3-point shot on Saturday.
THE OPPOSITION
- Nathaniel Shead scored 17 points to pace the Regents attack, while Ashton Singleton added 13, including going 3-for-3 from 3-point range.

- Edgewood College will visit Lakeland University for a NACC tilt Friday night at 7 p.m. at Woltzen Gymnasium on the campus of Lakeland.
