OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Edgewood College Men's Basketball team faced another test in its early season non-conference slate Tuesday night when it visited defending national champion UW-Oshkosh. The Eagles scored a season-high 80 points but couldn't slow down a potent UW-Oshkosh attack, falling 99-80.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Three Eagles posted career highs in scoring on Tuesday, led by
Ben Seefeld who poured in 26 points. Seefeld was dialed in from the floor, making 11-of-16, including 2-of-4 from 3-point range.

Ryan Buss (14) and
Caleb Holzman (11) each added career-high totals as well for the Eagles. Buss made 2-of-2 from 3-point range, while Holzman was 3-of-5 from deep. As a team, Edgewood College shot 31.4 percent (11-for-35) from deep.
- The Titans used their size advantage to outscore the Eagles, 46-16 in the paint. UW-Oshkosh finished the contest shooting 53.2 percent (41-for-77) compared to a 44.3 percent (31-for-70) effort from the Eagles. UW-Oshkosh also cleaned up on the glass, outrebounding Edgewood College, 56-25.
- The Eagles (0-3) did a good job valuing the basketball on Tuesday, committing just six turnovers compared to 12 for the Titans.
- Edgewood College had a few players score their first career collegiate points on Tuesday as
Adam Baierl made his only field goal, while
Max Fernholz finished the game with six points, including making one shot from 3-point range.

THE OPPOSITION
- UW-Oshkosh (3-2) featured a balanced attack with six players scoring in double figures. Jack Flynn led the way with 16 points, while Adam Fravert added 15. Levi Borchert posted a double-double for the Titans with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
