MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Edgewood College Women's Volleyball team went on the road in search of its third-straight NACC win Tuesday night when it visited Wisconsin Lutheran College for a league match. The Eagles pushed the Warriors, who entered unbeaten in NACC play, to a fifth set, but ultimately fell 18-16 in the final set in a terrific conference matchup.
WARRIORS 3, EAGLES 2
- The fifth set saw some outstanding volleyball with each team coming within a point of winning the match. The Eagles (6-14, 4-2 NACC) led 12-8 in the final set (up to 15, win by two) but Wisconsin Lutheran rallied for five-straight points to go up 13-12.

Brittany Sager finished with a career-best 38 assists in the five-set match. She added nine digs and a pair of kills.
Sarah Uczen led all players with 23 digs, while
Amanda Meister added 17.

Mackenzie Doherty finished with a double-double for the Eagles, posting 15 kills and 11 digs.
Abbey Maier finished the night with a match-best 16 kills.
- The Warriors (10-8, 4-0 NACC) had the first two chances to put away the match as they led 14-13, and again 15-14, but the Eagles evened things up both times. Edgewood College had its chance after going up 16-15 but the Warriors unfortunately scored the final three points for an 18-16 win in the final set.
- The Eagles won the first set of the night, 25-21, before dropping the next two, 25-19 and 25-20. Edgewood College forced a fifth set with a convincing 25-17 victory in the fourth.
THE OPPOSITION
- Three Warriors finished with double-digit kills, led by Carly Heuer's 11. Emily Sarles tallied 22 assists and Ally Goba recorded 20 digs.
UP NEXT
- The Eagles will play another NACC road match in Milwaukee Friday night when they visit MSOE. The conference tilt is set to start at 7 p.m. in the Kern Center.
