MADISON, Wis. – The Edgewood College Women's Volleyball team was swept, 3-0, by the University of Dubuque Tuesday night inside the Todd Wehr Edgedome.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles (9-17) started off strong, building a 12-7 lead in the opening set. Dubuque would rally from that point, tying the opening set at 18-18, before pulling out the 25-21 victory in the first. The Spartans would add 25-17 and 25-20 set wins to close out the match.
- Mackenzie had a strong night for Edgewood College with 15 kills on a .325 attack percentage. She added seven digs. As a team, Edgewood College hit .202 for the match with
Abbey Maier adding seven kills and a .238 attack percentage.

Brittany Sager totaled 21 assists over the three sets with
Sarah Uczen leading the defensive effort with 16 digs.
- Dubuque (16-10) was led by Kara Wright who posted 13 kills and a .324 attack percentage. The Spartans were efficient in hitting .299, including a 10-kill (.429) night from Grace Hintz. Kate Messino set up the Spartans hitters with 26 assists.
UP NEXT
- The Eagles will be back at it Friday with a pair of matches in Aurora, Illinois. Edgewood College will battle Aurora University in a NACC contest at 4:30 p.m. before taking on UW-La Crosse at 6:30 p.m.
