WAUKESHA, Wis. - Through two sets, the Edgewood College Women's Volleyball team and Carroll University were squared at one a piece in a non-conference match Thursday night. The Pioneers would take control in the final two sets, handing the Eagles a non-conference setback, 14-25, 25-20, 16-25, 16-25.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College received strong performances including 11-kills from both Mackenzie Doherty and Abbey Maier. Sarah Uczen came away with 25 digs and adding two aces. Brittany Sager finished the match with 23 assists.
- The Eagles second set win saw a .303 hitting percentage and 15 kills. The 25-20 win came on the back of two 4-0 runs by the Eagles late in the set.
- The Pioneers took over the final two sets, hitting .231 in the third and .267 in the fourth and clinching set. Carroll University finished the night with a .235 attack percentage compared to a .141 mark for the Eagles. The Pioneers also had 13 aces with Edgewood College tallying six.
- Erika Dunnam seemed to make the difference for the Pioneers, tallying 13 kills, while Emily Konop finished with four aces.
BEHIND THE BOX SCORE
- Junior Brittany Sager recorded 1,000 career assists in the defeat. Sager currently owns 1,017 assists, good for 13th in the Edgewood College record books.

- The Eagles will host the their third triangular of the season on Saturday at the Todd Wehr Edgedome. Edgewood College will take on Lakeland University at 12:00 p.m. and Central College at 4:00 p.m.
