MADISON, Wis. – With 11:19 to go, the Edgewood College Men's Basketball team trailed 54-51 in what had been a back-and-forth contest against Concordia University Wisconsin. From that point on it was all Falcons, unfortunately, as they closed the game on a 20-5 run in a 74-56 NACC game Saturday at the Todd Wehr Edgedome.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles went cold down the stretch, scoring just five points over the final 11:19. For the game, Edgewood College shot just 36.8 percent (21-of-57) and 30.4 percent (7-of-23) from 3-point range. The Falcons countered with a 50.8 percent (32-for-63) effort from the floor. Edgewood shot just 25.8 percent in the second half.
- The opening half was a back-and-forth affair. Edgewood College jumped out to a 7-point lead (11-4). The Eagles held the lead until 7:21 remaining in the first half and from there the lead exchanged hands a couple different times. CUW went into the break leading 34-33.

Jake Negus finished with a game-high 19 points in just 23 minutes. Negus spent much of the second half in foul trouble, but still led all players in scoring.
Ben Seefeld added 13 points for the Eagles.
- The Falcons got going in the second half, shooting 54.8 percent from the floor. Four different CUW players scored in double figures.

Sy Staver dished out six assists in running the Eagles offense and fellow senior
Emil Radisevic led the team with seven rebounds.
- Points in the paint was a big deciding factor in Saturday's game as the Falcons finished with a 54-14 advantage inside the lane.
THE OPPOSITION
- Jake Jurss led the Falcons with 14 points. Andrew Fratzke and Josh Hau each delivered 12 points and Hau grabbed a game-high eight rebounds.

- The Eagles will visit Rockford next Saturday at 4:15 p.m., the second part of a women's/men's doubleheader.
