LAS VEGAS - In a non-conference tilt at the D3Hoops.com Classic the Edgewood College men's basketball team fell in a close contest to Emory & Henry College. The Eagles were unable to hold off the 3-point shooting of the Wasps on Saturday evening, falling 72-64. Edgewood College held a 10-point lead at halftime, but in the final 12 minutes Emory & Henry pulled away with the lead.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- With just under 12 minutes remaining in the second half a 3ptr. from Dylan Felty put the Wasps within six points. Emory & Henry made the difference from outside the arc, finishing the second half shooting 66.7 percent.
- Edgewood College, who led by 10 at the break, shot 53.3 percent from the floor and 100 percent from the free-throw line in the first half. Defensively, the Eagles held the Wasps to just 8.3 percent from beyond the arc and 32.1 percent overall.
- The Eagles first half was headlined by eight points from Emil Radisevic, Ben Seefeld, and Matthew Myers who dropped two of four 3 pointers.
- Radisevic paced the Eagles with 18 points, tying his season-high, and also coming down with seven rebounds. McClain Steffens (11 points) and Ben Seefeld (10 points) contributed to the double-digit scoring for the Eagles. Sy Staver added six assists in the contest, while Steffens came away with five boards.
THE OPPOSITION
- The Emory & Henry offense was headlined by 24 points from Tharon Suggs. Alic Wynn (10 points) and Jarris Hendricks (13 points) also finished in double digits.
- For the Wasps, Alic Wynn was able to pull down a team-high 13 rebounds.

- The Eagles return to Wisconsin to take on Concordia University Wisconsin on Thursday. The NACC matchup is set to tip-off at 7:00 p.m. in Mequon, Wis.
