STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Edgewood College Men's Basketball team continued its tough early season schedule with a trip to face No. 12 UW-Stevens Point Saturday night. The Eagles fell behind early and couldn't solve the Pointers, falling 73-54. The loss drops the Eagles to 0-3 ahead of their NACC opener against Lakeland Tuesday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pointers jumped out to a 10-0 lead and never looked back Saturday evening. UWSP built their lead to a first-half high 19 points at 39-20 before the Eagles scored the last five points of the half, trailing by 14 at the break.
- The second half was much of the same as the Eagles deficit hovered around the 15-20 point mark for much of the game.

Jake Negus paced the Eagles offense for the third-straight game, this time pouring in 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting.
Ben Seefeld provided another double-digit scoring effort as well, finishing the night with 12 points.

Emil Radisevic scored eight points and pulled down nine rebounds for Edgewood College while
Sy Staver dished out a team-leading four assists.
- The 3-point shot proved to be a difference on Saturday as the Eagles finished just 2-of-13 from distance. UWSP made six shots from deep, shooting 33.3 percent.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The game was the second-straight against a Top-15 opponent for the Eagles. On Tuesday, Edgewood College battled No. 2 UW-Oshkosh at home.
THE OPPOSITION
- Canon O'Heron scored 15 points to pace the Pointers, who had four players finish in double figures. Brett Tauber posted a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

- The Eagles will host Lakeland University in the NACC opener Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the Todd Wehr Edgedome.
