EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Invitational, always features quality teams on quality courses, and this year was no exception. The Edgewood College men's golf team shot a strong 308 at the Eau Claire Country Club, to move up to seventh place, after being in 10th after the first day. The Eagles finished with a two-day total of 622.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- While most would consider Wild Ridge to be the easier of the two courses, the Eagles found lower scoring on Monday's Eau Claire C.C. circuit. Edgewood College was 10th after the first round, but jumped over three teams to grab seventh place.
- In Monday's final round, Zach Hentrich and Matthew Davidson tamed the course for matching scores of 73. That gave Zach Hentrich a two-day total of 151 (8-over par) which placed him eighth overall. Davidson finished at 152, good for 13th place.
- Dawson Hinz was the low man for the Eagles on Sunday at Wild Ridge, shooting 76. He finished with a 36-hole score of 158.
- Jensen Peck shot and 81 on Sunday to finish at 164, while Jackson Eversoll bounced back from a rough first round to fire 80 on Monday and finish with 166.
- Freshman Josh Hentrich competed as an individual at the tournament, shooting a pair of sub-80 rounds to place inside the top 30 with a score of 157.

FOR THE FOES
- Augsburg University had a six-shot lead after round one, and hung on for dear life, holding off the host Blugolds by a single shot. The Auggies shot 606 to win the title.
- UW-Eau Claire's Ryan Issacson blew away the field shooting a 1-under par 142, winning by a full seven strokes.

UP NEXT
- Edgewood College will travel to Galena, Ill. to take part in the Midwest Region Classic at Eagle Ridge G.C. on Friday and Saturday.
