FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The Edgewood College men's tennis team continued their hot start to the NACC regular season with a pair of victories over Marian University and Aurora University. The Eagles scored a 9-0 shutout of Marian University and then defeated the Spartans 8-1. The wins give the Eagles a four-match winning streak and a perfect 4-0 start to the conference season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College rolled past the Sabres sweeping all three doubles matches and not losing more than five games in any singles match. Andrew Martinez and Sabastion Seeger had the closest doubles match, defeating Marian's Patrick Schwoerer and Spencer Braswell 8-4 at No. 2 doubles.
- Evan Stone cleaned up at No. 1 singles, defeating Joey Dittman 6-0, 6-0. Brandon Glock won his No. 6 singles match 6-2, 6-1 to complete the shutout.
- In the day's second match, the Eagles again won all three doubles matches handily. Glock and Jamie Benavides claimed an 8-3 victory over Aurora's Tom Asavarachan and Patrick McDonald at No. 3 doubles.
- Brian Davenport slid into the number one spot against the Spartans and won his signles match 6-0, 6-1 over David Dobrose.
- Martinez played a full three sets at No. 3 singles, pulling out a 6-2, 0-6, 6-0 victory. Both Stone at No. 2 singles and Seeger at No. 6 singles had to go to a 10-point match tiebreaker before escaping with victories.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- By winning four matches on the day, Stone moved into fifth place on the Edgewood College all-time wins list, passing Tim Morgan (2010-13). Stone now has 60 career victories (30 singles, 30 doubles).
UP NEXT
- Edgewood College faces their biggest threat to a third straight NACC title next Saturday. The Eagles will host Lakeland University in a morning match at Quann Park and then face fellow conference unbeaten Concordia University Wisconsin in the afternoon. The Falcons are currently 14-5 overall and 3-0 in the NACC this season.
