HOW IT HAPPENED
- The closest match of the day took place at No. 2 doubles. Brian Davenport and Jaime Benavides pushed Bethel's Cash Rodamaker and Kent Schaller all the way to a tiebreaker, before falling 9-8 (7-5).
- In singles play, Davenport played two competitive sets against the Royals' Jakob Bartels at the No. 1 position but came up short 6-4, 6-3.
- Andrew Martinez lost to Bethel's Peter Lindberg at No. 4 singles, by the same score as Davenport 6-4, 6-3. Brandon Glock battled to a 6-2, 6-4 setback at No. 6 singles.
