JANESVILLE, Wis. – Freshman Jensen Peck finished tied for second in his first career meet and the Eagles placed sixth at their very own two-round Culver's Edgewood College Fall Classic at Glen Erin Golf Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Peck played for Edgewood College's B team and fired a two-under 69 in final round to finish with a 143, 1
-Top returner Zach Hentrich led the Eagles A team with after a tied for fifth-finish with a two-round total of 147, 5.
-Rounding out the Eagles A team was junior Nathan Gilbert who tied for 16th (151, +9), junior Alex Wedige who tied for 29th (155, +13), freshman Dawson Hinz who tied for 53rd (164, +22), and junior Brooks Johnson who tied for 58th (166, +24)
-The Eagles A team beat out three other NACC teams, but trailed Wisconsin Lutheran and their fourth-place finish (601)
-Edgewood A maintained their sixth-place position after round one
BEYOND THE RESULTS
-Edgewood A's stroke total of 616 was the exact same score from this same meet last season when they finished ninth of 19
-It was the fifth time in the last 12 meets the Eagles have posted a two-round score between 614 and 619
-Peck second round 69 was one of only three sub-70 rounds all weekend as he played his second round with the eventual medalist
-The Eagles B team's second round total of 304 beat out 10 other teams, including Edgewood A
FOR THE OPPONENTS
-Medalist Zac Ciesia was the only player to break par after posting a 140, -2
-Elmhurst (587) and Webster (589) outdistanced the rest of the field by 11 strokes and combined for four of the five sub-300 rounds in the tournament

The Eagles travel to the Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Invitational in Eau Claire, Wis. next Sunday-Monday, September 11-12, where they finished 16th last season.
