Unbeaten Eagles look to expand NACC lead

Olivia De Castro
MADISON, Wis. - The Edgewood College women's soccer team has made playing close games the rule rather than exception. However, when you're on a three-match winning streak and sharing the lead in the NACC, few are complaining. The Eagles will attempt to stay perfect in league play with two matches this week. Edgewood College will play Alverno College in Milwaukee on Wednesday afternoon, and then host Concordia University Chicago on Saturday for "Eagles Tackle Cancer" Day at Breese Stevens Field.

Both games this week will have live video and statistics available from the respective host institutions. Edgewood College will provide the live stream on Saturday, as the Eagles are back in their usual Bresse Stevens Field home. Links to live coverage are available at EdgewoodCollegeEagles.com/coverage.aspx.

Edgewood College has not lost or tied in their history against either of this week's opponents. Edgewood College has defeated Alverno College in all 13 previous meetings. The Eagles have averaged 7.85 goals per game, while Alverno has scored against the Eagles just twice. The Eagles are also 12-0 against Concordia University Chicago, although each of the last two meetings have been decided by just one goal.
