MILAN, Ill. – The Edgewood College men's golf team improved 16 strokes on day two of the Augustana College Invitational. However, the improved conditions benefited all teams, and the Eagles still lost two positions, finishing 11th overall. Edgewood College shot 644 in the 25-team event, led by Zach Hentrich's score of 153.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The bone-chilling cold and strong winds meant everyone's scores were high on the first day. The slightly better conditions on Saturday showed in the scores.
- Zach Hentrich was the only Eagle to break 80 on both days. Hentrich shot 78 on Friday and a 75 on Saturday to place 15th overall with a 36-hole total of 153.
- Alex Wedige improved by four strokes on Saturday and Brooks Johnson by five to score 164 and 165 respectively. Both of them shot matching 80's in the second round.
- Kyle Bruce was the lone Edgewood College player to post a lower score on Friday than he did on Saturday with a round of 83. He finished with a two-day total of 168.
- Nathan Gilbert owned the Eagles only other sub-80 round, shooting 79 in the second round for a total of 169.
UP NEXT
- Edgewood College has just one more tournament before the third and fourth rounds of the NACC Championships. The Eagles will play next weekend at the Millikin University Spring Invitational at Red Tail G.C. in Lakewood, Ill. The final two rounds of the NACC Championships will take place on April 24-25 at Stonebridge C.C. in Aurora, Ill.
