LAKE GENEVA, Wis. - The Edgewood College men's golf team completed their final regular season event of the fall season at the MSOE Invitational at the Grand Geneva Resort. The Eagles shot matching team scores of 312 on each day to finish eighth with a two-day total of 624. Edgewood College will play the first two rounds of the NACC Tournament on October 10-11 at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wis.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sunday's round was played on Grand Geneva Resort's Highlands course, while Monday's circuit was on the Brute course.
- Jensen Peck turned in the Eagles only sub-par round of the event, shooting a 1-under par 71 on Monday morning. He finished tied for 11th out of 75 players with a 36-hole total of 147 (4-over par). Nathan Gilbert played two shots better on Monday with a score of 78 on the Brute course to finish with a score of 158.
- James Gandolph shot the Eagles' lowest round on the Highlands course with a 74 (3-over par). Gandolph finished with a 160. Alex Wedige shot matching 82's on each day to finish at 164.
- Michael Wiebe rounded out the Eagles lineup, shooting an 81 on the second day to finish with a two-day total of 169. Matt Tucker shot 182 playing as an individual.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Gandolph's 74 marked a new career-low round for the junior from Mount Horeb, Wis. His previous best round was a 77 shot earlier this season at the Culver's Edgewood College Fall Classic at Glen Erin G.C. in Janesville.
FOR THE FOES
- Carthage College shot a stellar 10-under par 562 to win the event by a full 26 strokes over UW-Stout. Carthage's Matt Meneghetti shot 71-65 for a 7-under par total of 136 to win individual medalist honors.
UP NEXT
- Edgewood College will begin the NACC Championship in one week's time on the Irish Course at Whistling Straits. The first two rounds of the NACC Championship are played in the fall, with the final two rounds played next spring at Stonebridge G.C. in Aurora, Ill. Edgewood College has won three of the last six NACC titles and finished second in 2015-16.
