WAUWATOSA, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's tennis team became the first team to clinch a berth in next spring's NACC Tournament with a pair of victories on Sunday. The Eagles defeated Alverno College 8-1 and Wisconsin Lutheran College 7-2, as they continue to press forward toward an eighth consecutive conference title.

RECORDS: Edgewood College 8-4, 7-0 NACC, Alverno College 4-3, 3-2 NACC, Wis. Lutheran College 6-2, 4-1 NACC.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- As has been their trend this season, the Eagles dominated doubles play winning all three doubles matches in both duals in both dual matches. Morgan Wilson and Anna Miles ran their NACC record at No. 1 doubles to 6-0 this season.
- Madeline George won both of her singles matches defeating Alverno's Lia Hutchins 6-1, 6-4 at No. 4 singles and then moving up to No. 3 singles for a 6-2, 7-5 win over Wisconsin Lutheran's Tabitha Schultz.
- Wilson and Miles also won both of their singles matches, improving to 7-0 each in conference matches this season.
- Elise Brennan earned her first ever singles victory with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout of the Inferno's Lily Samudio at No. 6 singles.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
- Edgewood College extended their NACC dual match winning streak to 49 consecutive matches.
- Wilson and Miles are now 17-1 all-time in NACC matches as a doubles pair.
- The Eagles are now 21-0 this year in conference doubles matches. Since the 2012-13 season, Edgewood College is 111-6 in doubles play in NACC matches.
UP NEXT
- Edgewood College will participate in the USTA/ITA Regional Championships next weekend in St. Peter, Minn. When the Eagles return home they will face a showdown with Concordia University Wisconsin. The Falcons are currently the only other unbeaten squad in the NACC.
