Edgewood College vs. Aurora University, NACC Tournament Championship preview (.pdf)

For the second consecutive season, Edgewood College and Aurora University will square off with a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament title and an NCAA Division III Tournament berth on the line. This year, however, the match will be on the Eagles' home turf after claiming the top seed with a 1-0 win over Aurora on October 5. Edgewood College is seeking their first conference tournament title since 2008.

On October 5, Edgewood College defeated the Spartans 1-0 at Breese Stevens Field which snapped a five-match Spartans winning streak in the series. Katie Pampuch scored in the 40th minute for the decisive goal. The two programs have met twice in the NACC Tournament championship match with the Eagles winning 1-0 in 2008 and the Spartans taking the 2012 title 2-0. Overall, Aurora leads the all-time series over Edgewood College 8-3.
