LAKE GENEVA, Wis. - If they're dreaming, don't wake them up. The Edgewood College men's golf team continued their unprecedented roll with a second consecutive invitational title, this time led by individual medalist
Kenny Rucker, in winning the MSOE Invitational at the Grand Geneva Resort. The Eagles team score of 588 (+20) was the lowest score in school history and the third best ever relative to par.
The Eagles, in fact, took the top two spots on the Par 71 layout with Rucker shooting an even par 142 and teammate Patrick Cahill placing second with a 144. Rucker fired a two-under par 69 on Sunday for the first sub-70 round of his collegiate career. Cahill's two-over par score matched his career-low total relative to par.
Kyle Bruce notched his first top 10 finish of the year, shooting 73 on Monday to finish with a two-day total of 150. Michael Mathwick, who was the medalist of last weekend's Wisconsin Lutheran College Invitational won by the Eagles, shot 152 and placed 17th. Patrick Bohrer completed the squad with a score of 157, still finishing in the top half of the field.
