On Wednesday, Edgewood College will face Lakeland College which will set the stage for an important Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference showdown this weekend. The Eagles will face six-time defending conference champion Aurora University at Breese Stevens Field on Saturday in an attempt to avenge their loss in last season's conference tournament title match.

Edgewood College's all-time series against Lakeland College has been heavily one-sided toward the Eagles. Edgewood College has lost just four times in 31 contests against the Muskies. All four Lakeland wins were consecutive from 2002 to 2004. The Eagles have won nine in a row against the Muskies including a 10-0 shutout last season. Aurora College and Edgewood College have played 10 all-time matches, with the Spartans holding a 8-2 advantage. The Eagles won twice in 2008, but have lost the last five contests against Aurora. Last season, the two teams met twice with the Spartans earning a 3-1 victory in the regular season and then posting a 2-0 shutout over Edgewood College in the NAC Tournament Championship.
