MADISON, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's soccer team won their fourth consecutive match with a 3-1 victory over Lake Forest College on Wednesday night at Breese Stevens Field. Jennifer Dailey scored her first two career goals as an Eagle, as Edgewood College scored three or more goals for the sixth straight game.

Edgewood College (5-1) was forced to come from behind after a turnover in their defensive zone led to a Forester goal in the seventh minute of play. Lake Forest's Becky Esrock picked off a pass and sliced through the Eagles' defense. Her low shot beat Edgewood College goalkeeper to the far post to put the Foresters ahead 1-0.

As is typical, the Eagle responded quickly. In the 10th minute Jenna Mineau stepped in front of an attempted clear from a Lake Forest College (2-4) defender. Mineau deflected the pass directly to Elaine Gerry who walked in and slipped the ball past Forester goalkeeper Bri Schleibinger for her 10th goal of the season. Gerry, who led the nation in total goals through last Sunday's games, now has 85 career goals.

The eventual game-winning goal came from Dailey. Emily Dorsett carried the ball up the right sideline and delivered a short cross toward the near post. Dailey leaped and flicked the ball on with her head, over Schleibinger and into the net. For Dailey, it was her first career goal.

In the second half, Dailey was the beneficiary of the Eagles offensive pressure. In the 58th minute, Kristina Santaga dribbled in from the right side and fired a rocket at the Forester net. Schleibinger made the save, but Gerry hammered the rebound right back. Schleibinger stopped Gerry's shot as well, but could not make a third point-blank save, as Dailey collected the bouncing ball and shoved it into the net for the Eagles' third goal of the game.

Edgewood College outshot Lake Forest College 26-14, including 14 shots on goal. Frisch made five save to improve her season record to 4-0.

Edgewood College return to conference play on Saturday against Dominican University in River Forest, Ill. The Eagles and Stars will begin at 3:30 p.m. following the Eagles vs. Stars men's soccer match.
