NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Going into Monday, the Edgewood College men's golf team knew they were going to be in for a long day, playing 36 holes in one day. When the long day was done, the Eagles shot 650 and finished ninth out of 18 teams at the Cress Creek Collegiate Invitational.

Freshman Ryan McCrumb turned out Edgewood College's best score with his 160. He shot an even 80 in both the first and second rounds. Adam Kirkenmeier was only one stroke behind with a 161. He posted a 78 in the first round before shooting 83 in round two.

Glenn Nowell finished in 48th place with a 164. Nowell shot an 81 in round one and 83 in the second round. Mike Schilling rounded out the Eagles' team of four with a 167, improving on his first round 84 to shoot 83 in the second round. Andrew Gutzman finished with the same score as Schilling, 167. Gutzman shot 82 in the first round, followed by an 85 in the second round.

Edgewood College will be in action again this weekend when they travel to Eau Claire to participate in the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational. The meet will take place at the Eau Claire Golf and Country Club on Sunday and Monday.
