MIDDLETON, Wis. – Senior Aaron Gavin capped his career with a third place finish and the Edgewood College men's golf team also finished third at the Edgewood College Spring Invitational. UW-Stout claimed first place in the four team event help at Bishops Bay Country Club in Middleton.

Gavin shot a three-over par 75 to finish in a three-way tie with Sean Larson and Dieter Zuehlke for third place. Brent Quade was the only other Eagle to break 80, shooting a 77 and placing eighth. Mark Fields and Andrew Gutzman shot matching 80's on the 6,740 yard layout, with Mike Battista a shot behind at 81. Logan Kranz and Andrew Cobb rounded out the team with an 82 and an 83, respectively.

Andy Smith of UW-Stout claimed individual medalist honors with a one-under par 71, while Loren Churness of UW-Eau Claire was the runner up with a 73. UW-Stout claimed the team title with a score of 297, edging the Blugolds who shot 305. The Eagles were third with a team score of 313 followed by MSOE who scored 325.
