On Sunday, the Eagles will host a first round Northern Athletics Conference Tournament match for the second consecutive year. This season the Eagles earned the third seed and will try to avenge a loss earlier this year to sixth seeded Marian University. The Eagles come into the contest riding a four-match winning streak while the Sabres are 1-3-1 in their last five contests.

Earlier this season, Marian University ended a 24-match losing streak to Edgewood College with their 2-0 win at home. However, the Eagles still lead the all-time series 24-3-2. The Sabres and Eagles have met four times in a conference tournament with the last coming in 2003 when the schools were members of the Lake Michigan Conference. The Eagles are 3-0-1, recording three shutouts and only allowing one goal to the Sabres. Edgewood College is undefeated against Marian in home conference tournament games.
