MILWAUKEE, Wis. - In a season of “first time in a long time” the Edgewood College volleyball team added a “first time ever”, by reaching 10 conference victories in a single season. The Eagles rallied from a first set loss to defeat MSOE 3-1 (29-31, 25-19, 25-18, 25-14) at the Kern Center. The win improved the Eagles to 10-2 in the Northern Athletics Conference and a tie for second place in the final standings.
Edgewood College (17-13, 10-2 NAC) was led by sophomore
Mallory Palmer's double-double with 24 kills and 13 digs. Palmer scored a staggering nine kills in the third set alone and also added three solo blocks in the match. Freshman
Jessica Martin continued her hot play with 14 kills and just three errors for a team-high .379 attack percentage.

Kim Lueck with 24.
Sam Himmelspach added 16 and
Lindsey Swansby 13, to go along with Palmer's 13 digs. Swansby dished out 44 assists for her eighth match this year with 40 or more assists.
Edgewood College will conclude their regular season on Thursday night against the University of Dubuque. The Eagles will honor their lone senior, Lueck, prior to the match.
The following Tuesday, Edgewood College will host their first postseason volleyball match since the 1995 season. The Eagles will be the No. 3 seed for the
NAC Tournament and will meet No. 6 seed Marian University.
The tournament match will feature
a special “white out” promotion which encourages all fans to wear white to the match. In addition, fans should bring non-perishable food items in support of the NAC's “
Cans Across the Conference” program. The Edgewood College student who donates the most non-perishable food items will receive a gift certificate for Toppers Pizza.
