HARTFORD, Wis. – Aaron Gavin shot an even-par second round of 72 to vault himself into the top ten finishers as the Edgewood College men's golf team placed sixth of 14 teams at the Wisconsin Lutheran College Invitational. The Eagles finished with a two-day total of 631.

Gavin was one of just four golfers to shoot even par or lower on the second day of the event. With the exception of Gavin and freshman Mike Battista every other Eagle shot a higher score on Sunday. Battista shot a pair of 80's and placed 32nd overall. Fellow freshman Logan Kranz was one shot behind Battista with a 161. Ty Robinson had a team-low 75 on Saturday, but slipped to 39th place with an 87 on Sunday. Glen Nowell rounded out the team with a two-day total of 164.

Edgewood College will return to action next weekend at the Benedictine University Invitational in Lisle, Illinois.
