CHICAGO, Ill. - The Edgewood College volleyball team had high hopes for a successful weekend at the North Park Invitational. Unfortunately, the Eagles were unable to come away with a victory, instead dropping all four matches by 3-1 margins.

On Friday, the Eagles (3-10) played four close sets with Grinnell College, winning the second set 25-20. Against the host Vikings, the Eagles avoided a sweep by taking the third set 26-24, but fell in the fourth set 25-20.

In Saturday action, the Eagles faced a pair of non-NCAA opponents, but the results were the same. Edgewood College lost to both Robert Morris College (Ill.) and Purdue-North Central (Ind.).

Senior Kim Paskey was named to the all-tournament team after recording 41 kills against just eight errors for a .359 attack percentage. She also had 20 total blocks.

The Eagles are now 3-0 at home, but 0-10 away from the Edgedome. Edgewood College will return to friendly surroundings on Tuesday night when they host Northern Athletics Conference favorite Lakeland College in the conference opener. The match will be broadcast live on EdgewoodCollegeEagles.com with Barry Adams and Suann Saltzberry providing the coverage.
