MADISON, Wis. - The Edgewood College women's soccer team won their fourth consecutive game via shutout and their ninth straight home game in a 9-0 victory over Alverno College. In all, seven different Eagles scored a goal and nine different players scored a point as the Eagles outshot the Inferno 52-7.

Kelsey Beck recorded a hat trick, netting three goals on the day. She tallied her first two goals before the nine-minute mark, first taking a pass from Caitlin Moore and later picking up a loose ball off of an Inferno defender and depositing it in the back of the net. Her third goal came in the 49th minute with some clever ballhandling that beat two Alverno (2-14, 0-10 NAC) defenders inside the penalty area.

Elaine Gerry continued her assault on the Edgewood College record books, with a goal and an assist. The goal was her 32nd of the season, leaving her just two goals short of Julie Veloff's single season goal scoring record. She now has 68 points on the year, moving her into third on the Eagles' single season points list.

Laura Marx recorded her second goal of the season as did Kelsey Trieloff. Caitlin Moore scored the first goal of the game, her fifth on the season and assisted Beck on the second goal of the game. Freshman Jamie Ende chased down a loose ball in the box and scored it for her first career goal. Jessi Ditzler rounded out the scoring with her eighth goal of the year in the 75th minute. Megan Gaber and Clare Schumacher added assists in the win.

Ilana Bar-av made two saves for the Eagles and extended her streak without allowing a goal to 357:03. Beck made her first career appearence as a goalkeeper making one save in a little over nine minutes in net.

Edgewood College (13-3, 8-1 NAC) moves to 9-0 at home this season and still has three home games remaining in the regular season. If the Eagles win out, they will clinch the top seed for the Northern Athletics Conference tournament.
