MADISON, Wis. - After running out to leads in the first two sets and winning one of them, it seemed as though the Edgewood College volleyball team had enough momentum to possibly upset Wisconsin Lutheran, but a dominating performance in the third set led to a 3-1 victory for the Warriors at the Todd Wehr Edgedome.

However, even with momentum from set two on their side, set three went downhill early for the Eagles. The Warriors went ahead 14-4 and rolled to a 25-14 set win. The Warriors recorded 10 kills in the set and took advantage of 14 Eagle errors.

In the fourth and final set, the Warriors jumped on top again leading 22-10. Hannah Williams and Paskey gave the Edgedome crowd one last thrill serving for seven points down the stretch, but it wasn't enough to avert a 25-18 setback.

The Eagles racked up 49 kills but couldn't overcome a season-high 44 errors. Wellnitz and Paskey shared match honors with 11 kills each, while Schultz added nine. Kim Lueck and Wellnitz each had double digits in digs with 12 and 11, respectively. Williams led the Eagles with 27 kills.

Wisconsin Lutheran was led by Erika Laete with 10 kills and seven total blocks (1 solo, 6 assisted). As a team, the Warriors amassed a whopping 11 blocks.
