VERONA, Wis. – The Edgewood University women's soccer team battled to a scoreless tie with Carroll University on Friday. The Eagles defense worked hard to limit the Pioneers offensive opportunities. Carroll controlled play for most of the second half, leading the Eagles in shots 16-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood University (0-3-1) saw their best scoring opportunity in the 20th minute. Riley Haertle put the Eagles only shot on net, which was saved by Ava Lewandowski.

- Carroll University (0-1-4) tested Eagle goalkeeper Madeline Brown in the first half, putting five shots on goal. Brown totaled eight saves in the contest, five coming in the first half.

- The Pioneers continued to pressure the Eagle defense in the second half, taking 11 shots. Edgewood University couldn't get anything going offensively in the second half, taking no shots.

- Annika Hudson and Megan Hines each recorded a shot for the Eagles in the first half.

- Carmella Nowak led the Pioneers with five shots, two on target.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Friday's draw is the second-straight scoreless draw between the two teams. The Eagles and Pioneers last met in 2025. Carroll leads the all-time series 4-1-2.
