MILWAUKEE – An historic nine Eagles were recognized as the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference announced its 2026 baseball awards Thursday afternoon. The Eagles nine all-conference selections are the most in the NACC era and ties the 2006 team during the Lake Michigan Conference era. Aiden Shumaker and Aidan Kammer claimed First Team All-NACC Honors. Charlie Tompach picked up Second Team All-NACC, while Ben Truby, Jacob Carney, Hayden Hellenbrand, Kyle Prindle, Mark Tor, and Cashton Jones all claimed Honorable Mention nods.

Shumaker led the Eagles pitching staff in 2026 with a single season record 86 strikeouts that currently ranks seventh best in Division III nationally. In conference play, Shumaker claimed a 2.80 ERA, a 4-2 record, and 53 strikeouts. The senior only allowed 12 walks against conference opponents and threw 45 innings. Shumaker struck out 10 or more batters on four occasions. Shumaker's All-NACC nod is the second of his career.

Kammer claimed his first All-NACC nod as the Eagles everyday second baseman in 2026. The sophomore stepped into his role for the Eagles hitting .344 on the season and collecting 53 hits, scoring 28 runs, and driving in a team-best 40 runners. Kammer recorded 35 hits, scored 18 runs, recorded four doubles, one home run, and 25 RBI against NACC opponents. Kammer posted 15 multi-hit games and totaled a team-best 14 multi-RBI games.

Tompach was a stand-out in his freshman campaign for the Eagles outfield. The freshman leads the Eagles with a .374 batting average, owning 40 hits, 42 runs scored, four doubles, three triples, three home runs, and 27 RBI. Tompach hit at a .361 clip against conference opponents, going 4-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI in a win at Concordia Chicago.

Truby became a mainstay behind the plate for the Eagles in 2026. The freshman recorded a perfect fielding percentage as the Eagles catcher and caught seven runners stealing. In conference play, Truby posted a .316 batting average. Against NACC opponents, Truby recorded 24 hits, scored 11 runs, recorded three doubles, one home run, and 12 RBI. Against Dominican and Concordia Chicago, Truby went 3-for-5 at the plate.

Carney claims his second All-NACC nod following a strong 2026 campaign at first base for the Eagles. The senior posted a .990 fielding percentage in conference play and was a part of 13 double plays. In conference play, Carney posted a .380 batting average. He tied Kammer for a team-best 35 hits against NACC opponents and added 22 runs, 10 doubles, one triple, one home run, and a team-best 26 RBI. Carney added a team-high 13 stolen bases.

Hellenbrand posted the fourth-best batting average of all Eagles in 2026, a .325 clip to net his second-straight All-NACC honors. Against conference opponents, Hellenbrand hit .327 and posted 32 hits, scored 26 runs, roped six doubles, one triple, two home runs, and totaled 18 RBI. As the Eagles starting third baseman, Hellenbrand recorded a team-best 16 multi-hit games and added 12 multi-RBI games.

Prindle brought patience and experience to the Eagles middle infield in 2026, claiming the fourth All-NACC honors of his career. The senior posted a .304 batting average in conference play that included 28 hits, 28 runs scored, four doubles, one home run and 21 RBI. Prindle became the Eagles career leader in walks, games played, and games started during his senior campaign. The shortstop totaled 11 double plays against conference opponents and added six stolen bases.

Tor was a standout pitcher for the Eagles in 2026, claiming the first All-NACC honor of his career. He claims his first All-NACC honors following a 4-0 record in conference play. Tor struck out 35 batters and only allowed 14 walks across 39 innings pitched against NACC opponents.

Jones stepped into a starting pitcher role for the Eagles in 2026. The sophomore claimed a 3.79 ERA against conference opponents and struck out 25 batters. In a win at Benedictine, Jones pitched a complete game, striking out eight batters and only allowing one run to score. Jones added another complete game win over Dominican, striking out five batters and allowing just one run to score.
Brandon Mahler of Concordia University Chicago was named the NACC's Position Player of the Year. Zach Brzezinski of MSOE claimed Pitcher of the Year honors. Braden Behrens of Benedictine was named Freshman of the Year. Aurora's head coach Adam Stevens and his staff were named Coaching Staff of the Year.
