MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Cade Schueller was recognized by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) as announced by the conference office Thursday. He was named Freshman of the Year and Second Team All-NACC.
Schueller's Freshman of the Year and Second Team All-NACC honors were both firsts in program history. The freshman paced the Eagles with 263 kills and 3.02 kills per set. He hit .258 on the season and contributed 33 blocks and 11 aces. He stepped up in big moments down the stretch, including a program-record 21 kills in a five-set victory against Concordia Wisconsin (March 14). He earned double-doubles in five-set victories against Concordia Chicago (February 26) and St. Norbert (March 10). He tallied 19 kills and 15 digs against the Cougars and 18 kills and 10 digs against the Green Knights. He also recorded a career-best six blocks against nationally ranked MSOE (February 21)
Callan Harris of MSOE was named Player of the Year by the conference. Jordan Cardenas earned Defensive Player of the Year accolades. Shane Reid and his coaching staff at MSOE claimed Coaching Staff of the Year honors.
