MADISON, Wis. – Men's Volleyball returned to the Todd Wehr Edgedome Wednesday night. They hosted the Wisconsin Lutheran Warriors in NACC action. After a competitive first set, the Warriors (8-5, 3-1 NACC) took control in a 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-13) victory over the Eagles (4-10, 1-4).
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood University struck first in the opening frame, a 7-4 stretch building a 12-9 advantage. Wisconsin Lutheran struck back with four unanswered, and a later 6-1 rally pushed them ahead 22-17. A 5-1 rally pulled the Eagles within one, but a service error into an ace sealed the set for the Warriors.
 
- Both teams hit .250 in the set.
 
- While four unanswered helped Edgewood University pull ahead 9-7 in frame two, Wisconsin Lutheran took over. A 12-3 burst put the Eagles well behind as the Warriors claimed a 2-0 lead in the match.
 
- Wisconsin Lutheran started the third set ahead 7-3. After leading 10-7, the Warriors finished the set on a 15-6 stretch to claim an impressive sweep.
 
- Wisconsin Lutheran outhit Edgewood University .315-to-.053.
 
- Brady Pichler paced all hitters with 15 kills, hitting .538 on 26 attempts.
 
- David Warren and Adam Bedalov formed an effective setting tandem with 17 and 14 assists respectively.
 
- Adonis Hilton earned eight kills and 10 digs. Drew Wempner and Josh Ward tallied five blocks apiece.
 
- Ethan Hoffert posted 15 assists. Cade Schueller swung for seven kills.
 
UP NEXT
The Eagles will hit the road Saturday as NACC action continues. They'll take on the Rockford Regents in Rockford, Ill. First serve is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
