KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Edgewood University softball team claimed their first win in the sunshine state in 2026. The Eagles took down Endicott 3-0 in game one on Sunday. Edgewood University and Trinity completed four full innings before inclement weather forced the game to be suspended.

- Edgewood University (4-5) broke through with scoring in the third inning on Sunday morning. A first and third play scored the Eagles first run, as Abilina Dubree came across to score. Grace Dooley gave the Eagles two runners in scoring position with a double to right field. MacKenzie Miller plated Lily Mabs from third base with a single to center field. Through three innings, the Eagles led 2-0. The Eagles added a run in the fourth frame.
- Confident pitching from Lauren Prigge and Hailie Boardman, combined with strong defense shut down the Endicott (0-3) attack. A double play featuring Dooley and Chloe McLaughlin in the fifth frame highlighted the Eagles defensive efforts on Sunday.
- Natalie Fields went 2-for-4 at the plate and scored a run. Dooley went 2-for-3 and added a double.
- Prigge claimed the victory, throwing four innings and striking out three batters. Prigge was confident in the circle on Sunday, working ahead and controlling the strike zone. Boardman earned the first save of her career, pitching three innings and scattering three hits. Prigge and Boardman combined for the Eagles first shutout win of the season.
